And let’s be honest, algae really can’t be said to look or smell good, and yet the diversity of species is incredible. Skin care with microalgae extracts of Spirulina platensis
After years of research, scientists have discovered the special properties of Spirulina plantensis. The microalgae has a vitalizing and toning effect on skin cells and also has comprehensive protective mechanisms. An optimal combination to protect the skin.
Algae that have survived under extreme conditions and produced substances for their own protection are particularly interesting for anti-ageing research. After all, these substances also benefit the skin. Used as a cream or serum, they supply the cells with energy, fight free radicals and regenerate damaged skin cells. Of course, this is not quite as simple as it sounds. As these properties have to be harnessed for cosmetics in a complex process. Skin care developed by leading dermatologists
The skinicer®Repair facial care range was co-developed by leading dermatologists, including Prof. Dr. med. Kristian Reich. The focus here is on naturalness and the power of the patented microalgae active ingredient Spiralin®. This forms the basis of the range.
All skinicer products are free from synthetic preservatives, silicones or mineral oil-based ingredients. The plant extracts and oils used come from controlled organic cultivation. Tailored to the individual needs of the skin or problem skin, the skinicer® range includes care products for oily problem skin and for dry, sensitive, usually mature skin.
A product test carried out by ocean pharma impressively shows how the mechanisms of action of the microalgae extract are convincing: 100 independent testers with different skin types tested the skinicer® Repair skin care with a great result: over 90% of the testers rated the facial care as “very positive” and “recommendable” and also stated that they would continue to use the care in the future.

Patrick Günther absolvierte sein Pharmazie-Studium in Hamburg und arbeitete nach der Approbation einige Jahre im Marketing und Vertrieb in der Pharmaindustrie. Im Jahr 2003 übernahm er - ocean pharma - das 1978 in Reinbek bei Hamburg von seinem Vater gegründete Unternehmen.
